Browse Android games on Google Play through a top chart (free, paid or grossing), a game category such as GAME_PUZZLE, or a search term. Give only one of chart, category or keyword; with none, the top free chart comes back. Each game has rank, package ID, developer, score, install range, price and description. 20 games by default, up to 50, one page only.
Price $0.56 per 1,000 requests ($0.000556 per call). Failed calls and empty results are not charged. Synchronous. For slow jobs add "mode": "async" to the body, take the job_id and poll.
AI prompt
Please help me write a data collection script with the EveryInfra Google Play Games endpoint (google_play/games).
How the endpoint works:
- Request: POST https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social with the header Authorization: Bearer <API key>. Read the key from the EVERYINFRA_API_KEY environment variable and never hard-code it.
- In the request body, set platform to google_play and action to games, and put the parameters inside params.
- No required parameters.
- Optional parameters:
- category: A game category for games, such as GAME_PUZZLE or GAME_ACTION; the short form puzzle or action works too. Use it instead of chart or keyword, not together with them.
- chart: The game chart for games: top_free (the default when nothing else is given), top_paid or top_grossing. Use it instead of category or keyword, not together with them.
- country: Selects the Google Play storefront country or region using a lowercase code such as us. The default is us.
- keyword: A search term for games, such as chess. Use it instead of chart or category, not together with them.
- language: Selects the language used for Play Store content and review queries, such as en or zh. The default is en. It does not change country automatically or guarantee that every returned review was written in that language.
- limit: The most rows to return in this call, an integer from 1 to 50. The default applies when you leave it out, and a call can return fewer rows. Larger values are accepted and capped at the maximum. (default: 20)
- Returns a list of records. Main fields of each record: rank, app_id, name, url, developer, category, score, installs, price, is_free (Whether the app is free to download (ke…), currency, icon_url; 13 fields in total, full list at https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social/catalog?platform=google_play.
- Example request body:
{
"platform": "google_play",
"action": "games",
"params": {}
}
- Price: $0.56 per 1,000 requests; failed and empty results are not charged.
- For dozens or hundreds of targets, add "mode": "async" to the body: you get a job_id at once and poll GET https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/jobs/{job_id} for the result.
- On 422, fix the request using the suggested parameter names and allowed values in the error; on 429 or 503, wait for Retry-After and try again.
Before writing code, ask me which targets I need, how many, which fields, and what output format I want; then confirm the plan and the rough cost with me.Request parameters
| Name | In | Type | Required | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Authorization | header | string | Yes | - | Bearer followed by your API key. Create it in the console; never put it in a URL or a code repository. |
platform | body | string | Yes | google_play | Platform identifier, fixed value. |
action | body | string | Yes | games | Capability identifier, fixed value. |
category | body.params | string | No | - | A game category for games, such as GAME_PUZZLE or GAME_ACTION; the short form puzzle or action works too. Use it instead of chart or keyword, not together with them. |
chart | body.params | string | No | - | The game chart for games: top_free (the default when nothing else is given), top_paid or top_grossing. Use it instead of category or keyword, not together with them. |
country | body.params | string | No | - | Selects the Google Play storefront country or region using a lowercase code such as us. The default is us. For search and profile it changes the storefront being queried, not the user's phone region or the developer's nationality. For reviews it does not change which reviews come back: reviews vary only with language, so us and gb return the same reviews for the same language. To compare reviews across markets, change language, not only country. |
keyword | body.params | string | No | - | A search term for games, such as chess. Use it instead of chart or category, not together with them. |
language | body.params | string | No | - | Selects the language used for Play Store content and review queries, such as en or zh. The default is en. It does not change country automatically or guarantee that every returned review was written in that language. |
limit | body.params | integer (1–50) | No | 20 | The most rows to return in this call, an integer from 1 to 50. The default applies when you leave it out, and a call can return fewer rows. Larger values are accepted and capped at the maximum. |

}Response fields
Business data is in results. The table lists the fields a record can contain; values the platform does not show are never made up.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
rank | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
app_id | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
name | Name of the object itself, for account, product and business capabilities. |
url | Link to the record on the platform. |
developer | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
category | Category name in the platform's own taxonomy, not normalized across platforms. |
score | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
installs | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
price | Price as a number without a currency symbol; see currency. |
is_free | Whether the app is free to download (keywords_for_app). |
currency | Currency code of the price (for example CNY, USD). If price is present but currency is null, do not assume a currency. |
icon_url | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
description | Summary or description, usually shorter than text. |
platform | Source platform identifier, the same as platform in the request (for example xiaohongshu, tiktok). |
