EveryData platform API

Dribbble API

Dribbble provides three action-specific views for shot discovery, creator shot lists, and designer profiles: `search`, `shots`, and `profile`.

Dribbble keeps `search` (matching public results) apart from `shots` (designer shot records); no required business input, and `keyword` apply only inside those contracts.

Search

Use Dribbble search to discover Dribbble public results. In this contract, invoke it without a required business field, using optional category, keyword, location solely when the contract lists it. For Dribbble search, supply min_rating, keyword, location, pro_only, category, and min_budget; results include review_count, rating, rating_scale, username, avatar_url, url, services_count, response_time, skills, platform, name, is_pro, starting_price, projects_completed, user_id, and location.

What does each Dribbble action accept?

Each answer below pairs one callable action with its real inputs. Parameter meanings and allowed values are action-specific; a familiar name does not carry the same meaning across every platform.

Official sources are linked only to clarify the platform term beside them. They do not imply platform authorization or endorsement, and they do not add official-site features to the EveryInfra API contract.

What do the Dribbble search parameters mean?

Use Dribbble search to discover Dribbble public results. In this contract, invoke it without a required business field, using optional category, keyword, location solely when the contract lists it. For Dribbble search, supply min_rating, keyword, location, pro_only, category, and min_budget; results include review_count, rating, rating_scale, username, avatar_url, url, services_count, response_time, skills, platform, name, is_pro, starting_price, projects_completed, user_id, and location.

categoryOptional
Filters designer search queries by a single professional category: animation, branding, illustration, mobile, print, product-design, typography, or web-design. Overrides category input passed in keyword; does not represent arbitrary work tags.
keywordOptional
Serves as the design work search term in shots queries, or as the fallback designer category in search queries when category is omitted. Can be left empty when only browsing the designer directory.
locationOptional
Free-form text string filtering designers by location, such as "New York", "San Francisco, CA", or "London". Omitting this parameter disables location filtering. Does not represent service delivery areas or time zones.
min_budgetOptional
Filters designers by minimum project budget in USD using integers from 0 to 10000, where 0 sets no lower limit. Represents designer preferences rather than API execution costs or confirmed project quotes.
min_ratingOptional
Filters designers by minimum rating threshold in designer searches. Allowed values are option strings: any (unrestricted), 1, 2, 3, or 4 (representing the selected star rating and above). Expects exact option strings, not arbitrary decimal numbers like 4.5 or shot likes.
Allowed values:1234any
pro_onlyOptional
Boolean flag filtering for Dribbble PRO designers when set to true, or leaving account type unrestricted when set to false. Must be passed as a JSON boolean, not a string ("false"). PRO status does not constitute a formal quality certification.

What do the Dribbble shots parameters mean?

The object handled by Dribbble shots is designer shot records. Use Dribbble shots with keyword for Dribbble designer shot records. Call Dribbble shots with keyword, sort, and query; Dribbble shots exposes shot_id, like_count, platform, is_animated, author_url, comment_count, tags, title, url, is_pro, image_url, view_count, and author_name.

keywordRequired
Serves as the design work search term in shots queries, or as the fallback designer category in search queries when category is omitted. Can be left empty when only browsing the designer directory.
Dribbble: Showcasing Design Work and Process in ShotsDribbble documentation notes that Shots use images, text, and videos to showcase design results and processes, with tags describing work content. Fetching display metadata for a Shot does not equate to acquiring the full design source files.Checked
queryOptional
Compatibility alias for design work search terms in shots actions. The keyword parameter takes precedence and remains required; this field is not used for category selection in designer directory searches.
sortOptional
Sorts design work lists in shots actions; allowed values are popular, newest, and most_viewed. When passed to profile actions, this parameter has no verified sorting effect on user objects and should not be relied upon.
Allowed values:most_viewednewestpopular

What do the Dribbble profile parameters mean?

Use Dribbble profile to read one Dribbble public record. Use Dribbble account input with profile; Dribbble then reads public record. Call Dribbble profile with sort and username; Dribbble profile exposes platform, name, url, avatar_url, username, bio, rating, follower_count, location, rating_scale, and user_id.

usernameRequired
Dribbble designer profile handle extracted from the profile URL path, passed without an @ prefix or full URL structure. Used by profile queries to fetch user account details, not individual shot IDs.
Dribbble: Distinction Between Designer Profile and Individual ShotsDribbble distinguishes work showcases from a designer's Profile containing bio, location, skills, and work preferences. Referencing these entity definitions does not mean this endpoint supports initiating projects or hiring designers.Checked
sortOptional
Sorts design work lists in shots actions; allowed values are popular, newest, and most_viewed. When passed to profile actions, this parameter has no verified sorting effect on user objects and should not be relied upon.
Allowed values:most_viewednewest

Dribbble API questions

What can I retrieve with the Dribbble API?

Set platform to dribbble. The current catalog lists search, shots, and profiles. These action names identify different Dribbble objects or views; they are not interchangeable search modes.

Which input starts a Dribbble `search` request?

The search action has no required business input. Send the platform and action identifiers, plus only the optional parameters you need.

Which fields can Dribbble `search` return?

Its declared schema includes user_id, username, name, and avatar_url. A declared field can still be absent from an individual source record, and every other action has its own field list.

Does every Dribbble action return immediately?

No assumption is needed: this page labels each action's delivery mode. The current catalog contains sync delivery; poll a returned job ID only for an action labeled asynchronous.
