Taobao offers the 5 declared views used here for Taobao products, product details, shops, buyer reviews, and product questions, and `search`, `product_detail`, `shop` must each be read according to its own contract.
Taobao keeps `search` (matching public results) apart from `product_detail` (one product record); `keyword`, and `url` apply only inside those contracts.

What does each Taobao action accept?
Each answer below pairs one callable action with its real inputs. Parameter meanings and allowed values are action-specific; a familiar name does not carry the same meaning across every platform.

What do the Taobao search parameters mean?
Use Taobao search to discover Taobao public results. For Taobao search, supply sort, keyword, max_price, tmall_only, and min_price; results include rating, id, platform, sold_count, location, stock, price, title, rating_scale, currency, shop_name, image_url, and url.
keywordRequired- Specifies the Taobao or Tmall product search term for the search action. It does not perform an exact search by store name.
max_priceOptional- Sets the maximum item price filter for the search action in combination with min_price. It does not control SKU inventory limits.
min_priceOptional- Sets the minimum item price filter for the search action. It is not a review score filter or an API fee parameter, and whether it filters results across shared actions like shop, product_detail, reviews, or questions is unconfirmed.
sortOptional- Controls review sorting for the reviews action, accepting newest for chronological sorting and relevance for combined sorting. The shop action uses a separate internal sorting field not mapped by these values, so newest and relevance cannot be used to sort store items.Allowed values:

Taobao keeps one product record inside the product_detail response scope. Use Taobao product_detail with url; Taobao then selects one product record. Taobao product_detail takes url and yields currency, name, id, images, stock, sold_count, shipping_fee, location, platform, brand, shop_id, skus, price, category_id, title, is_tmall, shop_name, original_price, and url.

What do the Taobao shop parameters mean?
Call shop to work with one shop record from Taobao. Taobao shop requires its documented Taobao selector. For Taobao shop, supply sort, min_price, user_id, seller, shop, and max_price; results include url, image_url, category, rating_scale, rating, good_rate, price, platform, id, currency, and title.
shopRequired- Specifies the seller's numeric userId for the shop action to return items currently listed by that seller. It accepts only the numeric ID, not a store name or shop domain.
max_priceOptional- Sets the maximum item price filter for the search action in combination with min_price. It does not control SKU inventory limits.
min_priceOptional- Sets the minimum item price filter for the search action. It is not a review score filter or an API fee parameter, and whether it filters results across shared actions like shop, product_detail, reviews, or questions is unconfirmed.
sellerOptional- Provides a compatibility fallback for the seller's numeric userId in the shop action. It accepts only numeric user IDs, not seller nicknames, and takes lower precedence than shop and user_id.

What can I retrieve with the Taobao API?
Set platform to taobao. The current catalog lists search, product details, shop, reviews, and questions. These action names identify different Taobao objects or views; they are not interchangeable search modes.
Which input starts a Taobao `search` request?
Specifies the Taobao or Tmall product search term for the search action. It does not perform an exact search by store name. Send it as keyword inside params.
Which fields can Taobao `search` return?
Its declared schema includes title, price, currency, and sold_count. A declared field can still be absent from an individual source record, and every other action has its own field list.
Does every Taobao action return immediately?
No assumption is needed: this page labels each action's delivery mode. The current catalog contains sync delivery; poll a returned job ID only for an action labeled asynchronous.
