Look up one Toutiao video by link or numeric ID. Get title, length, plays, likes, comments, shares, saves, publish time, cover, a signed video file link and the author's name; landscape videos add impressions, the author's profile token and follower count. Vertical short videos are covered too.
Price $0.81 per 1,000 requests ($0.000806 per call). Failed calls and empty results are not charged. Synchronous. For slow jobs add "mode": "async" to the body, take the job_id and poll.
AI prompt
Please help me write a data collection script with the EveryInfra Toutiao Video details endpoint (toutiao/video).
How the endpoint works:
- Request: POST https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social with the header Authorization: Bearer <API key>. Read the key from the EVERYINFRA_API_KEY environment variable and never hard-code it.
- In the request body, set platform to toutiao and action to video, and put the parameters inside params.
- Required parameters:
- url: A Toutiao video link (https://www.toutiao.com/video/<ID>/; /item/<ID>/ and /group/<ID>/ links also work), or the numeric ID in it. An article ID returns an empty result.
- Returns one object. Main fields: id, url, video_type (Kind of video (video): video for a land…), title, duration_sec, duration_seconds, play_count, like_count, comment_count, share_count, collect_count (Times the video was saved (video)), impression_count (Times the video was shown in feeds (vid…); 21 fields in total, full list at https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social/catalog?platform=toutiao.
- Example request body:
{
"platform": "toutiao",
"action": "video",
"params": {
"url": "https://www.toutiao.com/video/7702252318212817451/"
}
}
- Price: $0.81 per 1,000 requests; failed and empty results are not charged.
- For dozens or hundreds of targets, add "mode": "async" to the body: you get a job_id at once and poll GET https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/jobs/{job_id} for the result.
- On 422, fix the request using the suggested parameter names and allowed values in the error; on 429 or 503, wait for Retry-After and try again.
Before writing code, ask me which targets I need, how many, which fields, and what output format I want; then confirm the plan and the rough cost with me.Request parameters

}Response fields
Business data is in results. The table lists the fields a record can contain; values the platform does not show are never made up.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
id | The record's unique ID on the platform. Unique only within one platform; IDs can repeat across platforms. |
url | Link to the record on the platform. |
video_type | Kind of video (video): video for a landscape video, short_video for a vertical one. Short videos have no author_id, impression_count or author_follower_count. |
title | Title. null when the platform has no titles (for example text-only posts). |
duration_sec | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
duration_seconds | Duration in seconds. null for content that is not video or audio. |
play_count | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
like_count | Likes. null means the platform or this capability does not disclose it; it is not 0. |
comment_count | Comments. null means not disclosed, not 0. |
share_count | Shares. null means not disclosed, not 0. |
collect_count | Times the video was saved (video). |
impression_count | Times the video was shown in feeds (video, landscape videos only); not plays. |
posted_at | Publish time in ISO 8601, UTC (for example 2026-08-07T12:34:56+00:00). Non-standard strings from the platform are passed through as is, so parse defensively. null means the platform does not disclose it. |
cover_url | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
video_url | Video file URL of the highest bitrate offered (video; signed, expires after a few hours). |
author_id | The author's MS4w profile token (video, landscape videos only); pass it as user_id to profile or user_posts. |
author_name | Author's display name. |
author_avatar_url | The commenter's avatar link (comments); on video, the author's. |
author_follower_count | The author's follower count (video, landscape videos only). |
author_verified | Whether the author is verified; on comments, the commenter. |
author_auth_info | Verification description, such as a field creator; on comments, the commenter's, such as an official account. Absent when there is none. |
platform | Source platform identifier, the same as platform in the request (for example xiaohongshu, tiktok). |
