Read one eBay listing in full from its link or numeric item ID: price, condition, availability, listing type, best-offer flag, shipping and returns, watchers, brand and catalog codes, category path, every image, and the seller's feedback score and positive rate. Auction fields such as bid_count and ends_at, and codes such as gtin, appear only when the listing shows them.
Price $0.96 per 1,000 requests ($0.000958 per call). Failed calls and empty results are not charged. Synchronous. For slow jobs add "mode": "async" to the body, take the job_id and poll.
AI prompt
Please help me write a data collection script with the EveryInfra eBay Product details endpoint (ebay/product_detail).
How the endpoint works:
- Request: POST https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social with the header Authorization: Bearer <API key>. Read the key from the EVERYINFRA_API_KEY environment variable and never hard-code it.
- In the request body, set platform to ebay and action to product_detail, and put the parameters inside params.
- Required parameters:
- url: One eBay listing: its link, such as https://www.ebay.com/itm/133576802017 (tracking parameters and the title part are dropped), or the numeric item ID alone, which is read on ebay.com.
- Returns one object. Main fields: item_id, title, subtitle (Subtitle the seller wrote (product_deta…), url, price, currency, condition, availability (Stock status as eBay states it (product…), listing_type, bid_count (Bids placed so far (product_detail), on…), best_offer_enabled (Whether buyers can make the seller an o…), ends_at (When the auction or timed listing ends…); 32 fields in total, full list at https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social/catalog?platform=ebay.
- Example request body:
{
"platform": "ebay",
"action": "product_detail",
"params": {
"url": "https://www.ebay.com/itm/133576802017"
}
}
- Price: $0.96 per 1,000 requests; failed and empty results are not charged.
- For dozens or hundreds of targets, add "mode": "async" to the body: you get a job_id at once and poll GET https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/jobs/{job_id} for the result.
- On 422, fix the request using the suggested parameter names and allowed values in the error; on 429 or 503, wait for Retry-After and try again.
Before writing code, ask me which targets I need, how many, which fields, and what output format I want; then confirm the plan and the rough cost with me.Request parameters
| Name | In | Type | Required | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Authorization | header | string | Yes | - | Bearer followed by your API key. Create it in the console; never put it in a URL or a code repository. |
platform | body | string | Yes | ebay | Platform identifier, fixed value. |
action | body | string | Yes | product_detail | Capability identifier, fixed value. |
url | body.params | string | Yes | - | One eBay listing: its link, such as https://www.ebay.com/itm/133576802017 (tracking parameters and the title part are dropped), or the numeric item ID alone, which is read on ebay.com. Links from other eBay sites are read on that site. Store pages, search pages and lists are rejected before the call runs. |
