Search DuckDuckGo by keyword and get up to 50 results with rank, title, link, displayed URL, snippet and site icon. Filter by region, language and recency (day, week, month or year). Plain search words only: quoted phrases and site: are rejected before any charge.
Price $0.56 per 1,000 requests ($0.000556 per call). Failed calls and empty results are not charged. Synchronous. For slow jobs add "mode": "async" to the body, take the job_id and poll.
AI prompt
Please help me write a data collection script with the EveryInfra DuckDuckGo Search endpoint (duckduckgo/search).
How the endpoint works:
- Request: POST https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social with the header Authorization: Bearer <API key>. Read the key from the EVERYINFRA_API_KEY environment variable and never hard-code it.
- In the request body, set platform to duckduckgo and action to search, and put the parameters inside params.
- Required parameters:
- keyword: The DuckDuckGo search words, up to 500 characters. Exact-phrase quotes and operators such as site: are rejected before any charge.
- Optional parameters:
- country: A two-letter country code such as us, gb, de or jp that sets DuckDuckGo's search region. Leave it out, or use a country DuckDuckGo has no region for, to search all regions.
- language: A two-letter language code that picks the language version of a region that has several, such as en or fr for Canada; otherwise it has no effect.
- page: Which page of results to return, starting at 1, with limit results per page (up to 20 pages).
- time_window: Only return pages from a recent period: day, week, month or year. Leave it out for no date limit.
- limit: The most rows to return in this call, an integer from 1 to 50. The default applies when you leave it out, and a call can return fewer rows. Larger values return 422 before any charge. (default: 20)
- Returns a list of records. Main fields of each record: rank (Position in this search's results, from…), title, url, displayed_url (The URL as shown under the title, often…), text, favicon_url.
- Example request body:
{
"platform": "duckduckgo",
"action": "search",
"params": {
"keyword": "python asyncio tutorial"
}
}
- Price: $0.56 per 1,000 requests; failed and empty results are not charged.
- For dozens or hundreds of targets, add "mode": "async" to the body: you get a job_id at once and poll GET https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/jobs/{job_id} for the result.
- On 422, fix the request using the suggested parameter names and allowed values in the error; on 429 or 503, wait for Retry-After and try again.
Before writing code, ask me which targets I need, how many, which fields, and what output format I want; then confirm the plan and the rough cost with me.Request parameters

}Response fields
Business data is in results. The table lists the fields a record can contain; values the platform does not show are never made up.
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
rank | Position in this search's results, from 1. |
title | Title. null when the platform has no titles (for example text-only posts). |
url | Link to the record on the platform. |
displayed_url | The URL as shown under the title, often without https://; use url to open the page. |
text | Body text with HTML removed, returned in full and never cut short (on a few platforms the list results themselves carry only an excerpt; the platform's field notes say so). |
favicon_url | Keeps the platform's own meaning |
platform | Source platform identifier, the same as platform in the request (for example xiaohongshu, tiktok). |

- DuckDuckGo Help: Setting the Search Region with URL Parameters ↗
DuckDuckGo's help page says the search region is set with the kl parameter, written as region-language (such as us-en or de-de), next to settings such as safe search. The source confirms only that DuckDuckGo separates results by region; this API's `country` and `language` are defined by EveryInfra and combined into that region setting; a two-letter country code is mapped to DuckDuckGo's region token (gb becomes uk-en), and a country missing from its region list searches all regions. The source says nothing about result counts or date filters.
