Read up to 50 Apple Maps places in one call from their numeric IDs. Each row has address, coordinates, phone, website, category, weekly hours, amenities, photos, price level, rating with the site it comes from, and a few representative reviews. Get IDs from DuckDuckGo Maps results or an Apple Maps link; one call costs the same for one ID or fifty.
Price $0.56 per 1,000 requests ($0.000556 per call). Failed calls and empty results are not charged. Synchronous. For slow jobs add "mode": "async" to the body, take the job_id and poll.
AI prompt
Please help me write a data collection script with the EveryInfra Apple Maps Place details endpoint (apple_maps/places).
How the endpoint works:
- Request: POST https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social with the header Authorization: Bearer <API key>. Read the key from the EVERYINFRA_API_KEY environment variable and never hard-code it.
- In the request body, set platform to apple_maps and action to places, and put the parameters inside params.
- Required parameters:
- place_ids: A list of 1 to 50 numeric Apple Maps place IDs, such as ["12971322601039101590"], taken from the apple_maps_id of DuckDuckGo Maps rows or the auid in an Apple Maps link. A call costs the same for one ID or fifty.
- Optional parameters:
- language: The language of the returned place details, such as en-US, zh-CN or ja-JP; a two-letter code such as en also works. Default en-US.
- limit: The most rows to return in this call, an integer of 1 or more. The default applies when you leave it out, and a call can return fewer rows.
- Returns a list of records. Main fields of each record: place_id (Numeric Apple Maps place ID, the same a…), name, url, category, categories, address, city, state, postal_code, country_code, lat, lng; 26 fields in total, full list at https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social/catalog?platform=apple_maps.
- Example request body:
{
"platform": "apple_maps",
"action": "places",
"params": {
"place_ids": [
"12971322601039101590"
]
}
}
- Price: $0.56 per 1,000 requests; failed and empty results are not charged.
- For dozens or hundreds of targets, add "mode": "async" to the body: you get a job_id at once and poll GET https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/jobs/{job_id} for the result.
- On 422, fix the request using the suggested parameter names and allowed values in the error; on 429 or 503, wait for Retry-After and try again.
Before writing code, ask me which targets I need, how many, which fields, and what output format I want; then confirm the plan and the rough cost with me.Request parameters

- Apple Developer Documentation: Identifying Unique Locations with Place IDs ↗
Apple's developer documentation says a Place ID keeps identifying the same point of interest over its lifetime and can be used to fetch that place's information. The source confirms only that Apple Maps places have stable unique identifiers; the `place_ids` of this API are the all-digit place IDs (auid) found in Apple Maps links, which are written differently from MapKit's alphanumeric Place IDs and cannot be swapped with them. It does not describe hours, amenities or rating fields.
