Find accounts Instagram suggests as similar to one account, by username such as nasa. Each account has follower, following and post counts, bio, external link, verified and private flags, and a rank ordered by followers. Up to 30 accounts per call, 20 by default. Being suggested as similar does not prove a business relationship or a shared audience.
Price $8.81 per 1,000 requests ($0.008806 per call). Failed calls and empty results are not charged. Asynchronous by default: returns a job_id first; poll GET /api/v1/jobs/{job_id}.
AI prompt
Paste this into your AI assistant. It already holds this endpoint's parameters, response fields and an example request, so the assistant can ask what you need and then write the scraper.
Please help me write a data collection script with the EveryInfra Instagram Similar accounts endpoint (instagram/similar_profiles).
How the endpoint works:
- Request: POST https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social with the header Authorization: Bearer <API key>. Read the key from the EVERYINFRA_API_KEY environment variable and never hard-code it.
- In the request body, set platform to instagram and action to similar_profiles, and put the parameters inside params.
- Required parameters:
- username: The Instagram account to find similar accounts for, such as nasa; a leading @ is removed. One account per call.
- Optional parameters:
- limit: The most rows to return in this call, an integer from 1 to 30. The default applies when you leave it out, and a call can return fewer rows. Larger values return 422 before any charge. (default: 20)
- Returns a list of records. Main fields of each record: rank (Position from 1: in user_search, where…), username, user_id, display_name, is_verified, is_private, url, avatar_url, follower_count, following_count, post_count, bio; 14 fields in total, full list at https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social/catalog?platform=instagram.
- Example request body:
{
"platform": "instagram",
"action": "similar_profiles",
"params": {
"username": "nasa"
}
}
- Price: $8.81 per 1,000 requests; failed and empty results are not charged.
- This endpoint is asynchronous by default: it returns 202 and a job_id, then you poll GET https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/jobs/{job_id} until the status is succeeded or failed.
- On 422, fix the request using the suggested parameter names and allowed values in the error; on 429 or 503, wait for Retry-After and try again.
Before writing code, ask me which targets I need, how many, which fields, and what output format I want; then confirm the plan and the rough cost with me.Request parameters
