# X (Twitter) User search API (twitter.search_users)

- Canonical page: https://everyinfra.com/en/twitter-api/search_users
- Endpoint: POST /api/v1/social with {"platform": "twitter", "action": "search_users", "params": {...}}
- Price: $0.000556 per call ($0.56 per 1,000 requests); failed and empty results are not charged
- Returns: list, one page of up to 20 per call; the number of rows varies from page to page and a short page is not the end (limit is ignored; pass the top-level next_page_token from the response as page_token for the next page; no next_page_token means the end)
- Pagination: pass next_page_token back as page_token for the next page, other params unchanged; one call per page, tokens last 24 hours
- Mode: sync; add "mode": "async" for slow tasks

## Health

- Live health (24h percent, hourly and daily trends): https://api.everyinfra.com/api/v1/social/availability?platform=twitter&action=search_users

## Parameters

| name | type | required | default | description |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| keyword | not declared | yes | not declared | A topic, name or username to match accounts on, such as `ai agents`; it returns accounts, not posts. |
| page_token | not declared | no | not declared | Page token for `user_media`, `user_replies`, `retweeters`, `search_communities`, `community_posts` and `search_users`. Leave it out for the first page, then pass back the previous response's `next_page_token` exactly as received; the last page has none. |

## Response fields (items in `results`)

| field | meaning |
|---|---|
| next_page_token | platform-native meaning |
| id | The record's unique ID on the platform. Unique only within one platform; IDs can repeat across platforms. |
| username | Username (@handle). |
| url | Link to the record on the platform. |
| name | Name of the object itself, for account, product and business capabilities. |
| text | Body text with HTML removed, returned in full and never cut short (on a few platforms the list results themselves carry only an excerpt; the platform's field notes say so). |
| avatar_url | Avatar image link. Some platforms return sized CDN links that can expire. |
| follower_count | Followers. null means not disclosed, not 0. |
| following_count | Accounts followed. null means not disclosed, not 0. |
| post_count | Total posts. null means not disclosed, not 0. |
| is_verified | Whether the platform verified the account. null means it cannot be determined. |
| created_at | Creation time, same format as posted_at. |
| platform | Source platform identifier, the same as platform in the request (for example xiaohongshu, tiktok). |
