Zyte
Zyte is a web data collection company. Its website says the team built Scrapy, the open-source crawling framework, and has 15 years of experience with enterprise data collection. It has three product lines. Zyte API combines unblocking, rendering and extraction. Zyte Data is a managed service where Zyte engineers build and run the pipeline. Scrapy Cloud hosts Scrapy spiders.
What Zyte offers
Products and prices here follow the product and pricing pages on the Zyte website, read on October 24, 2026. Zyte prices requests by website difficulty tier, so the same request can cost differently on different sites.
| Zyte product | How Zyte describes it | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Zyte API | One API for automatic ban handling, browser rendering, sessions and extraction. AI can turn pages into structured products, articles or job listings. Actions include clicks, form fills and scrolling | Scraping any site, including protected ones |
| Pricing | Billed per successful response, from $0.06 per 1,000. Sites fall into five difficulty tiers. Pay as you go runs from $0.13 to $1.27 per 1,000 HTTP responses and $1.01 to $16.08 for browser rendering. New users get $5 of credit and a 30-day trial with no commitment | Try it first, then pick a monthly commitment |
| Zyte Data | A fully managed web data service. The site promises sample data in one day and a quality-checked production pipeline in ten days | You want the data without hiring a scraping team |
| Scrapy Cloud | Hosting and monitoring for Scrapy spiders. There is a free Starter tier, and paid tiers start at $9 per unit per month. Code stays in standard Scrapy, so you can move it elsewhere | You already use Scrapy and want cloud runs and monitoring |
Who it is for
- Teams that write Scrapy or their own crawlers. They host spiders on Scrapy Cloud and use Zyte API for blocks and rendering.
- Developers who scrape hard-to-reach sites. One API bills per successful response, so there are no proxies or browsers to manage.
- Companies without a scraping team that need a steady data source. Zyte Data builds and runs the pipeline for them.
- Projects with compliance needs. The site says each data project is reviewed for regulatory risk, with GDPR and CCPA in scope.
Tracking a breaking story: Zyte for the news, EveryInfra for the reaction
PR, reputation and media research teams do two things every day: read how the news covers a story, and watch how people on social platforms react. Each task lands on one side's strength.
- The articles. News sites all differ in structure. Zyte API's AI extraction turns a page into an article record, with headline, author, publish time and body as fields, so you do not write a parser per site. Teams that already run Scrapy spiders can schedule them on Scrapy Cloud.
- The reaction. EveryInfra's Weibo trending and comments, Toutiao and Douyin trending endpoints show how the same story ranks and what people say on Chinese platforms. For international stories, add X (Twitter) trends.
- Line up the timeline. For each story, put the first report, the moment it trended and the comment peak on one timeline, and see whether the conversation moved from media to social platforms or the other way round.
Both sides charge for successful results: Zyte bills successful responses, and EveryInfra does not bill failed or empty calls, so the cost of tracking one story is easy to work out.
Start with Zyte's free credit
Zyte gives new users $5 in free credit, enough to run a few dozen news pages through Zyte API and judge the AI extraction. If you would rather receive data than run collection, look at the managed Zyte Data service. Difficulty tiers and per-tier prices are explained in detail on the Zyte pricing page.
