SerpApi
SerpApi provides an API for search engine result pages. You send a keyword and a location. It runs the search in a real browser. It returns what the page shows as structured JSON, including organic results, maps, shopping and knowledge graph data.
What SerpApi offers
The following is compiled from the SerpApi website and its pricing page, read on October 24, 2026. SerpApi plans are tiered by successful searches per month; tiers and prices follow the pricing page.
| SerpApi capability | What SerpApi states |
|---|---|
| Google Search API | Returns organic results, maps, local places, stories, shopping, direct answers and knowledge graph, with links, addresses, prices, thumbnails, ratings and review counts |
| Location targeting | A location parameter sets the place, and the request goes through the nearest proxy |
| Real browser | Each request runs in a full browser and handles CAPTCHAs, so you get what a user actually sees |
| Output formats | JSON, and Markdown as well |
| Data privacy | In ZeroTrace Mode, SerpApi does not store your search parameters, files or data |
The SerpApi website also states:
- The free plan includes 250 searches per month. Paid plans start at 1,000, 5,000, 15,000 and 30,000 searches per month, and enterprise plans are custom.
- Only successful searches count. Cached, errored and failed searches do not. A response with 100 results and an empty response both count as one search.
- Every plan comes with a 99.95% SLA. SerpApi lists SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certification.
- The Production plan and above include the U.S. Legal Shield. SerpApi assumes liability for lawful scraping and parsing of public search data, with up to $2 million in coverage.
- A full refund is available within 7 days of subscribing, unless you have used more than 20% of your searches.
Who it is for
- SEO and marketing teams who check real Google rankings and ads by city and language.
- Price monitoring and e-commerce teams who read products, prices and sellers from Google Shopping results.
- AI application developers who want search result pages as one data source for an agent.
- Local business analysts who read business names, ratings and addresses from map and local results.
One keyword: where it ranks on Google, and who wins on video platforms
Content teams see this more and more: half of a Google results page for a keyword is taken by videos and forums, and attention has moved to YouTube and TikTok. To decide whether the next piece should be an article or a video, you need both views.
- Google. Query the keyword through SerpApi for the target city (the location parameter). Record organic rank, the news and shopping blocks and direct answers, and count how many of the top 10 organic results link to video sites such as YouTube or TikTok. SerpApi counts only successful searches; failures and cache hits are free.
- Video platforms. Search the same keyword with the EveryInfra YouTube search and TikTok search endpoints, and collect views, likes, publish date and account for the top 20 videos. To see what the videos say, add YouTube transcripts.
- Decide. If several of the top 10 Google results are already videos and the most viewed TikTok videos are from the last month, the keyword suits short video. If video platforms have little content and Google competition is light, a long article is the better bet.
Both sides charge only for useful results: SerpApi does not count failed searches, and EveryInfra does not bill failed or empty calls. To pull data inside AI tools, use the EveryInfra MCP server. EveryInfra also has web, news and shopping search tools (EverySearch); for the exact layout of a Google results page in one city, SerpApi is the closer fit.
Try the SerpApi free plan first
The SerpApi free plan includes 250 searches a month, enough for one pass over 20 keywords. Paid subscriptions can be refunded in full within 7 days if usage stays under 20%. The refund rule and plan limits are SerpApi's own, as stated on serpapi.com.
