# DuckDuckGo Maps Search API (duckduckgo_maps.search)

- Endpoint: POST /api/v1/social with {"platform": "duckduckgo_maps", "action": "search", "params": {...}}
- Price: $0.000556 per call ($0.56 per 1,000 requests); failed and empty results are not charged
- Returns: list, default 20, max 50 per call
- Mode: sync; add "mode": "async" for slow tasks

## Parameters

| review_count | Number of reviews, for product and business capabilities. null means not disclosed, not 0. |
| price | Price level written with $ signs ($ to $$$$); absent when none is listed. |

| opening_hours | Weekly hours keyed by weekday (monday to sunday) as start - end text; days without hours are left out. |
| image_url | Image link. Capabilities with several images may return an image_urls array. |
| top_reviews | A few review excerpts with rating, text and date (YYYY-MM-DD), without reviewer details. |
| platform | Source platform identifier, the same as platform in the request (for example xiaohongshu, tiktok). |
